Broadly applied, it means being travel-savvy and navigating the complex travel industry. Firstly, when done correctly, travel hacking will save you time. Secondly, it will save you money. Most importantly, it will minimize potential issues while on the road.
Common travel hacking involves earning points via credit cards, airlines, and hotels; however, there are many other ways to hack your way into free or less expensive travel.
For years, I have been using a combination of travel hacks. I often fly free, my hotels are free, and I am no stranger to upgrades.
The Internet is full of advanced tips, tricks, and hacks (and I cover many of them o this site), but many people don’t know where to start.
