The term “hack” implies something shady, for example, breaking into a computer. In comparison, when used in the context of “travel,” it simply means that you are maximizing resources to your advantage.

Broadly applied, it means being travel-savvy and navigating the complex travel industry. Firstly, when done correctly, travel hacking will save you time. Secondly, it will save you money. Most importantly, it will minimize potential issues while on the road.
