Florida’s attractions and parks have put Florida on many travelers’ maps from all over the world. Millions of people visit the state to explore world-class parks.
Everyone’s interpretation is different. For most of us, we jump to the big names like Disney, Univeral, and SeaWorld.
Theme parks are defined as amusement parks with a unifying setting or idea.
However, there are tons of other parks that are considered theme parks. Florida is also home to lots of water parks as well.
There are 12 main parks in Orlando. They are Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, and SeaWorld.
Florida is also home to 175 state parks, trails, and historic sites spanning nearly 800,000 acres and 100 miles of sandy white beach.
Outside of the parks, Florida’s water parks are indeed amusement parks – just the water kind!

In 1845, Florida became the 27th U.S. state, and its last county was created from a segment of Alachua County in 1925. As of the 2020 census, Miami-Dade County’s population is 2,701,767, making it the seventh-largest county in the country.
